Recommendations

  • Once you have rated a few movies, the For You page shows personalised suggestions based on users with similar taste.
  • The more movies you rate, the better the recommendations get.
  • Filter recommendations by genre, year, actor, director, or studio.

Friends

  • Find friends by username or email and send them a friend request.
  • Once accepted, you can view their profile and ratings — if they have set their profile to visible for friends or everyone.
  • A taste similarity score shows how closely your preferences align.

Movie Nights

  • Create an event with a date, time, and description, and invite your friends.
  • The event page generates group recommendations ranked by how many attendees haven't seen a film and the group's average predicted rating.
  • RSVP to invitations you receive from friends.
  • Filter out genres or age ratings your group wants to avoid.

Blocklist

  • Block specific actors, directors, or studios to exclude them from your recommendations.
  • Manage your blocklist at any time from your profile settings.

Profile Settings

  • Set your profile visibility: hidden (only you), friends only, or everyone.
  • Add an avatar and a short bio to personalise your public profile.
  • Manage your notification preferences for friend requests, event invitations, and submission updates.
  • Delete your account and all associated data permanently from the account settings.

Tips

  • Use Ignored Movies to hide titles you never want to see recommended.
  • Add a rewatch date to a film you'd like to revisit later.
  • Write a review when rating — it's visible to friends on your public profile.
